🍇Last week we visited @iron_and_rose in Shrewsbury 🍇Last week we visited @iron_and_rose in Shrewsbury for a wine tasting. There were 18 different wines on offer, including 2 orange wines. These were particularly exciting to try given the recent planting here at Colemere!! 
Unfortunately they had sold out of the Kisi 2023 from Andrias as this was our favourite from the tasting ✨🥂

The restaurant is in Farndon so pretty local for all our Colemere friends and family 🥰🍇

We met so many of you who are so interested in English Wine. It was inspiring to see so many Shropshire Vineyards all in one place, for one night. Thank you for having us 🥰
Following on from last weeks somewhat random post Following on from last weeks somewhat random post of vine crowns hanging out to dry on the fence, I’m excited to announce that we have grafted 450 of our existing wines with a new piwi variety “Muscaris”. A cross between Muscat and Solaris this will enable us to produce an “Orange Wine” which has become a recent favourite of mine. More to follow……

🏛️🍷On Thursday 30th April, we are incredibly excit 🏛️🍷On Thursday 30th April, we are incredibly excited to join the “Shropshire Assemblage” for The Great Shropshire Wine Revolution at the @shrewsburymuseum .

Hosted by @harperadamsuni , this is a one-of-a-kind tasting festival. Entry is free, and on the night you can grab a £12 Tasting Passport which gives you: 🍷 A complimentary full glass of Harper Adams’ brand new Rosé🍇 Exclusive tasting samples from all 7 producers (including us!) as you explore the museum after hours.

We have finally finished pruning in the vineyard. Boris has been keeping an eye on everything and has very much enjoyed the bit of sunshine we’ve had ☀️

The tasting notes from the professionals write “An opulent fizz on the palate, soft and rounded ripe plum and blackberry fruit. Unusual and very moreish!” 🍇
