Meet the new members of the Colemere Team!!
This is Loki and Nyx🐈‍⬛

They are already causing mischief and making working marginally more difficult (see pic 2)🤦‍♀️

It’s a good job they are cute 🥰

🍇Last week we visited @iron_and_rose in Shrewsbury for a wine tasting. There were 18 different wines on offer, including 2 orange wines. These were particularly exciting to try given the recent planting here at Colemere!!
Unfortunately they had sold out of the Kisi 2023 from Andrias as this was our favourite from the tasting ✨🥂

It was so lovely to meet so many people at the @harperadamsuni event held in @shrewsburymuseum last night 🏛️

Our award winning Sparking Red was particularly popular last night! Many samples were drank and many bottles were purchased! If this is something you fancy trying, head over to our website to order! 🍷

We met so many of you who are so interested in English Wine. It was inspiring to see so many Shropshire Vineyards all in one place, for one night. Thank you for having us 🥰

Following on from last weeks somewhat random post of vine crowns hanging out to dry on the fence, I’m excited to announce that we have grafted 450 of our existing wines with a new piwi variety “Muscaris”. A cross between Muscat and Solaris this will enable us to produce an “Orange Wine” which has become a recent favourite of mine. More to follow……

🍷 A moment for our sparkling red ✨

Why not try something different?! It’s a favourite of many of the locals here at Colemere, who often come to help us at harvest time.

The tasting notes from the professionals write “An opulent fizz on the palate, soft and rounded ripe plum and blackberry fruit. Unusual and very moreish!” 🍇

We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights Monday night 🤩✨
We hope everyone is well and staying warm through January! The vineyard is currently being pruned in preparation for the next season of grapes. It’s keeping us very busy! 🪏🪴
